Brief Summary about the Organization

Community Support for Children in Need (Uganda) is a registered community based Organization that was established on the 16th 0f June 2009 in consultation with the community elders and under the leadership of Emmanuel Eratu, a well reknowned musician turned social worker .
. It is a child centered Community development organization whose belief is that sustainable development of disadvantaged communities can be achieved only if children’s best interests are at the heart of everything we do and if children themselves actively participate in the process. Every child has the right to grow up in a family and to be cared for and protected from harm or abuse. Not only is this a right, it is a basic human need. Our efforts are therefore directed towards education of disadvantaged children and orphans as well as improving the living conditions of children
Evidence shows that underprivileged children have dramatically reduced opportunities in life and that their ability to develop to their full potential is severely undermined. As a community based organization we mobilize, empower and equip the local community to be involved in the education, general health, welfare, and integral development of children.
